About the role

A new generation of technical founders is completely reimagining life sciences. Amplify Partners recently launched Amplify Bio, a $200M fund dedicated to partnering with digital biology founders at the earliest stages. Our inaugural bio fund has grown our portfolio to 20+ digital biology companies and gives our bio founders the depth of experience and domain-specific support that technical founders have come to expect from Amplify over the past decade.

To remain the best partner for technical and scientific founders, we're hiring a Bio Platform Lead to own the full surface area of how we support our bio portfolio companies and strengthen Amplify's position in the bio ecosystem through relationship building with key scientific, academic, engineering and executive talent. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who thrives when handed ambitious, long-horizon goals and gets the necessary resources to achieve them.

You'll work closely with the Amplify Bio investment team and have dedicated support from Amplify’s Build Team (like Natasha, Mark, and Tim) and Marketing team. The job is to make big things happen on behalf of our bio founders and our fund.

What you'll do

  • Set and execute the platform strategy for Amplify Bio, with a particular focus on programming, founder community, and ecosystem relationships
  • Build and deepen Amplify's relationships with key leaders across pharma, biotech, and key scientific institutions
  • Represent Amplify Bio externally as a key face of our organization with these communities
  • Translate priorities from our investment team into action: identify key communities and individuals, design programming and techniques to engage them, foster and build the relationships that matter - both on your own and alongside our investors.
  • Design and run a calendar of high-signal events for bio founders, scientists, and industry partners
  • Partner with the Build team to ensure portfolio companies get meaningful, hands-on support in areas like talent, GTM, and marketing

  • You do your best work when given a high-level goal and a long time horizon, and you're trusted to collaboratively figure out the rest.
  • You have a track record running platform, programs, events, or recruiting at a venture fund, accelerator, or comparable high-output environment — ideally with exposure to life sciences.
  • You bring a strategic mindset that transcends the day-to-day. You can zoom out to consider fund-level priorities and zoom back in to execute on the details.
  • You have strong judgment about where your time is best spent and you protect it accordingly.
  • You are fundamentally excited about the intersection of life sciences, AI and technology, and are curious about the people and ideas driving this revolution.
