On Growing Up
As a born and bred native San Franciscan, I have spent my whole life in SF, from being born at the Chinese Hospital in Chinatown, growing up in the Richmond District, and now residing in the Sunset with my family. I attended Lowell High School and graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts.
On Forging a Career Path
I have been an administrative support professional for 14+ years, working in various industries such as beauty, construction, and wealth management. In addition to my corporate career, I have an extensive retail background which spans 23 years with Macy’s, Inc. For the first 18 years, I worked at the now-shuttered Macy’s Stonestown store; currently, I work at the San Francisco Bloomingdale’s store, in the Luggage department, where I have been for the past 5 years.
As a California commissioned notary public for over 11 years, I started my own notary business, FLS Notary Services, LLC, in July 2021. My path to entrepreneurship would not have been possible were it not for the customer service and administrative skills I’ve acquired throughout my work life.
On Working with Amplify
My first day at Amplify was actually the day that we moved 2 doors down to our new, 3-floor office at 457 Bryant St. As Office Manager for our San Francisco office, I was very excited to begin my tenure in a space where I had a hand in setting up, furnishing, and occupying since Day One.
I am in-person five days a week to welcome our guests and offer them a warm smile and a cool beverage. I strive to maintain an immaculate office that is client-ready and fully functioning at all times. When something needs to get done or someone needs assistance, I am ready and eager to help out the team.
The Amplify Team is like a close, tight-knit family. Coming from bigger, corporate firms, I appreciate how special it is to be able to bond and collaborate so closely with one another. In the short time that I have been at Amplify, I have already learned so much.
On Life Outside of Work
I am passionate about baking and cake decorating, so it makes perfect sense that I am a volunteer baker for Cake4Kids. I am proud and honored to collaborate with such a worthwhile organization that brings smiles to underprivileged children on their special occasions.
As an advocate of continuous improvement and learning, I’ve recently completed 3 eCornell certificate programs, Business Management, Business Communication, and Operations Management. Now, my next educational goal is to attain my Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE) designation by the end of the year.
