Graph analysis and graph neural networks have become increasingly popular in recent years. However, interactively analyzing big graph data on large clusters at low latency has been prohibitively expensive and/or challenging. To address this problem, Alibaba released Graphscope – which enables users to perform a wide range of graph operations on large scale datasets on compute clusters through a user-friendly Python interface. Graphscope is based on Gremlin, a high-level language for graph traversal and Scope, a new abstraction that enables the execution of complex graph queries at scale.
