dplyr is a popular package that offers a set of tools to efficiently manipulate datasets in R. To bring this functionality to javascript users, Peter Beshai and Noah Veltman (Netflix) have released tidy.js. Like dplyr, tidy.js provides a consistent set of verbs to facilitate data wrangling. However, unlike other tools, tidy.js works with plain JS objects (i.e., without wrapper classes). It is also designed to improve collaboration by making data transformations readable.
